The Socanland D-50CTD 30 Degree SPOT is new to the Socanland line-up. This light is identical to the D-50CTD but is a Spot light instead of a Flood. This light is built using the tightly focused 30 Degree Spot LED's instead of the standard 60 Degree Flood LED's in the original D-50CTD. The spread of the Spot version is cut in half when compared to a 60 degree flood. In doing so, the tighter angle (spread) results in the output nearly doubling when compared to a 60 Degree Flood. Because the light is so much more focused, it can be placed back up to two times further. The further the light is placed back, the wider the spread becomes. This light is great for highlighting a single subject where a high amount of light is needed. It is also useful in situations where it is required to place the light back further than normal.

When ordering a 3 light kit, it would be wise to choose 2 x standard 60 Degree Flood lights along with 1 x 30 Degree Spot light. Having a variation in lights will give the DP more lighting options and control. The D-50CTD SPOT features a Digital Screen that shows you your current color temperature in kelvins and brightness level from 0-255. The digital screen is great when trying to re-create lighting scenes. It can also be valuable when making sure that multiple lights have the same color temperature.

This light is Bi-Color (choose between 3200k Tungsten, 5600k Daylight and anything in-between). This light is also dimmable from 0-100%. Choose to have this with either an Anton Bauer Gold Mount or V-Mount battery at no extra charge.
